London: Brodie & Middleton, (c. 1871). Oblong quarto. 48ff. A total of forty-eight alphabets, one to a page, printed in various colors including brown, blue, green, red, and black. Bound in purple cloth boards with gilt lettering to the front cover and ornamentation to each corner in blind. Top board somewhat bowed; toning to spine and edges of boards; text block loose, resulting in loose cloth at binding. About fine internally, with minor foxing to endleaves and a couple small spots of soiling to leaves. (Item ID: 21892)
