In this booklet, the famed typographer Bruce Rogers documents the process of creating his masterpiece work, the Oxford Lectern Bible, and includes pages showing various trials of lettering for the bible. Rogers also supervised the printing of the booklet in the Centaur typeface, which was his most famous creation. Rogers designed more than 400 books over his lifetime and is one of the best known and regarded typographers of the twentieth century. Some faint discoloration of the cover is evident around the edges, but otherwise in very fine condition. (Item ID: 22080)
