Illustrated with fifteen brilliantly hand-colored plates derived from the original text, an emblem book about spiritual alchemy that first appeared in manuscript form around the late sixteenth century. Characteristic of the emblematic style, each plate has a title or motto, and a related verse hinting at the significance of the images.
