Killion's beautifully executed, white-line linocuts are printed in dark blue. The title illustration is a triptych of the crucifixion, on a two-page spread of handmade Suzuki paper, bound so as not to fold in the center. Stab-bound in quarter-cloth and marbled boards, laced with goat thong. Endpapers are Japanese bark and fiber speckled handmade paper. Very fine in marbled slipcase, scantly bumped. A collection of poetry from a pacifist who spent over three years in various work camps for conscientious objection. Prospectus laid in. Item #29251
