Includes a note on the face by Dwiggins and a note on Dwiggins by "Hermann Püterschein," Dwiggins's alter ego and chief critic. A pencil note to the front endpaper indicates that this copy of the book was acquired from Dwiggins's wife, Mabel. Bound in pink wrappers printed in red. Soiling to wrappers, fading to edges, and chip to base of spine; some interior soiling, with spot of blue paint to copyright page, else a good copy. Item #24297
