Mark Twain Shirts by Elder notepad.
(Elder Mfg. Co., c. 1950). A notepad in which each sheet is printed with a different quote from Mark Twain at the top. The base of each page is printed with "Buy by name - buy... Mark Twain shirts by Elder." Twain gave permission to Miller and Bingham Company to trademark his name for use in their line of men's and boys' apparel in 1883, and the trademark was eventually passed down to Elder Mfg. Co. Minor toning to edges, else a fine and complete piece of Twain ephemera. Item #26520
