Beautifully printed in 6-point type on 7-point lines, allowing great legibility, on mitsumata paper. Contains illustrations and 48 full-page paper samples, which are ordered using the 48 symbols of the Japanese syllabary. The samples are from Australia, China, Egypt, Korea, Mexico, Nepal, Thailand, Tonga, the U.S. and Japan, all bound-in. The last page features a delicate folding map of Japan which indicates some of the origins of the samples. Very fine in printed wrappers, stab-sewn Japanese-style. (3 by 2; 75x50mm). Item #27487
