Los Angeles: Plantin Press for Bernard Rosenthal and Zeitlin & Ver Brugge, 1971. Folio. 13pp. One of 193 copies printed for Bernard Rosenthal and Zeitlin & Ver Brugge at the Plantin Press, with an original leaf printed on vellum by Peter Schoeffer at Mainz in 1472. It is one of the few leaf books to feature a vellum leaf from an actual incunable. The leaf bears 9 two- to four-line initials, 4 of which are hand-rubricated, all others in blue. The layout of its recto is particularly brilliant, with two columns of text encompassed by justified supplementary commentary. Bound in quarter vellum and marbled paper boards. Very light and scant foxing to endpapers, else fine. Bookplate. Item #27622
(Chalmers 157, p. 90).
