Bangor, ME: Eastern Corporation, 1946-1948. Quarto. Twenty-two folded broadside specimens, each with exemplar card bearing historical and stylistic notes on the typeface. Broadsides and cards are printed in red and black. The typefaces include Garamond, Baskerville, Perpetua, Futura, Cloister Black and the "Lost" Goudy Types. Among the designers of the broadsides are Ward Ritchie, W. A. Dwiggins, Edward and Robert Grabhorn, and Fred Athoenson. All slightly toned, some corners with minor bumps, else a fine set. Housed in a cloth clamshell box. Broadsides measure 22 by 17 in.; 559x432mm. Item #27940
