The Immigrants.

Lee, Jim (illus.)

Glastonbury, CT: Blue Moon Press, 1992. Octavo. (7)pp. One of ninety copies. Four color images printed from reduction woodcuts, collaged plates, etched zinc plates, and a photo-engraving. One is a fold-out illustration. Napora's poem provides narration and context to the main illustration, which is presented in its original form on the title page and artistically reproduced twice later. It depicts a man with a small boy on his lap, and three other children around him. As Napora's words attempt to grasp the lives of those in the black-and-white photograph, Lee's illustrations imbue them with colorful rusticism and wonder. Bound in paper boards with decorative impression to upper cover. Very fine. Item #28153
