Illustrated with twelve images by Wayne Thiebaud reproduced on transparent mylar sheets using different ink colors. The ink colors are matched to the sheet underneath it so that the images are revealed only when the transparent sheet is turned over and rests on the preceding leaf, allowing text and image to be viewed together. In this way, Thiebaud was able to accomplish his vision for this work, to "make the invisible visible." In the publisher's binding structure comprised of an aluminum base and four rings for the sheets. A matching aluminum cover with slots to fit over the four rings and an aluminum rod that fits through the rings to secure the cover. Prospectus laid in. Item #28326
