Illustrated with twelve images by Wayne Thiebaud reproduced on transparent mylar sheets using different ink colors. The colors are matched to the sheet underneath so that the images are revealed only when the transparent sheet is turned over and rests on the preceding leaf, allowing text and image to be viewed together. In this way, Thiebaud was able to accomplish his vision for this work, to "make the invisible visible." Fine in the publisher's binding, comprised of an aluminum base and four rings holding the sheets. Slots cut into a matching aluminum cover accommodate the rings, and an aluminum rod that fits through the rings secure the cover into place. Prospectus laid in. Item #28326
