Initials designed by Edward Johnston, printed in red in Paradise Regain’d and painstakingly calligraphed in Paradise Lost by Johnston and Graily Hewitt in alternating red and blue. Bound in the original Doves Bindery limp vellum, gilt-titled to spine. Paradise Lost shows light crease and fading to spine and with a few foxed pages, as usual; otherwise a fine set.
