San Francisco: Arion Press, 2009-2010. Two octavo volumes. 574; 627pp. One of 400 copies, signed by the artist in both volumes. Illustrated throughout with etchings by William T. Wiley, whose style captures the romance, and tinge of humor, that runs throughout the narrative. Wiley created the prints by scratching the emulsion from film with an etching needle. The negatives were then used to make polymer plates. Arion Press' two volumes mirror the way in which the very first edition was printed, with the second volume appearing ten years after the first. Both bound in brown and tan goatskin, with gold titling to spine and a gold "DQ" monogram, and housed in slipcases. Fine. Item #28570
(Arion Bibliography 86; 89).
