The images depict the various supernatural forces that hold sway over the journey, such as Chance, the Fates, and the Elements. Printed on Japanese vellum, and bound in marbled papers over pink paper. Slight toning, faint rubbing to edges, else near fine. Bookplate of Jackson Burke, an American type and book designer who worked as Director of Typographic Development at Mergenthaler Linotype. Burke is responsible for the deveolpment of fonts for Native American languages, the TeleTypesetting System for magazine use, and the first phase of Linotype Group's photocomposition library.
