Moore's lithographs illustrate each of the thirteen poems, as well as the dedication and the frontispiece. They dominate the landscape of the page, setting off Auden's complex verses with introspective and psychological imagery. In addition, four loose images—"Cavern," "Lullaby: Sleeping Head," "Split-stone," and "Garsdale"—are housed in a separate portfolio. Book and portfolio bound in red linen, the book with black titling to upper cover. Both held in a black clamshell box. Minor rubbing to exterior of box, else fine. Item #28822
