The first bibliography of science fiction, fantasy, and "weird books" in the English language, organized by both author and title. Bleiler went on to become a premier scholar of science fiction, receiving two Hugo Award nominations for his analytical publications. Later in his career received much recognition for his contributions to science-fiction scholarship and his endeavors to cement the genre as a legitimate field of study; he was honored with the Pilgrim Award in 1984, the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement in 1988, the First Fandom Hall of Fame award in 1994, and the International Horror Guild Living Legend award in 2004. Bound in red cloth over boards with some soiling at lower edge and rubbing to head and tail of spine, else very good. With dust wrapper designed by Hannes Bok, recipient of one of the inaugural 1953 Hugo Awards (for best cover artist) and whose artwork is most recognizable from the covers of various pulp and science fiction magazines.
