(Torrance, CA): Labyrinth Editions, 1980. Folio. 28ff., frenchfold. One of 250 copies, signed by the poet, William Everson, and the artist, Tom Killion. Designed and printed in two colors by Richard Bigus. Killion's beautifully executed, white-line linocuts are printed in dark blue. The title illustration is a triptych of the crucifixion, on a two-page spread of handmade Suzuki paper, bound so as not to fold in the center. Stab-bound in quarter-cloth and marbled boards, laced with goat thong. Endpapers are Japanese bark and fiber speckled handmade paper. Very fine in marbled slipcase, scantly bumped. A collection of poetry from a pacifist who spent over three years in various work camps for conscientious objection. Prospectus laid in. Item #29251
