Two Poems by Emily Dickinson.
Cambridge, MA: Dept. of Printing and Graphic Arts, Harvard College, 1968. Square 16mo. (8)ff. One of 500 copies, signed by the artist. Marie Angel, who also contributed illustrations to A. Colish's 1974 edition of The Velveteen Rabbit, here adorns Dickinson's two poems with a diverse array of butterflies set softly over precise calligraphy. Dickinson's two poems, "The butterfly upon the sky..." and "My cocoon tightens..." are among her most charming and perhaps most autobiographical, as they express the dual pulls of safety at home and daydreaming abroad. Bound in pale printed wrappers and housed in two dropback boxes, one teal and one blue, both with gilt stamping. Faint rubbing to corners of both boxes, else near fine. Item #29730
