Illustrated throughout with images of flora as backdrops to the text, the book provides the reader with a pleasing, colorful walk through a garden. Beginning with cut-out flowers at the endpapers and fan-fold elements, it offers a sense of peace before embarking on D'Ambrosio's narrative of his grandmother, who was dying at the time of production.
