Illustrated throughout with wood engravings by the brothers Bewick, supplemented by pastiches of their work by Isaac Nicholson. An impressive, weighty edition, bound in tan leather over boards with gilt ornamentation on the spine, edges of the boards, and turn-ins. Extremities a bit rubbed, rebacked with original spine laid down, adhesive tear to front endpaper, one spread with ink splotches, else a near fine copy.
