Frontispiece photograph portrait of Whitman. Whitman's expansive and exhortative centerpiece of his "Leaves of Grass" here receives sumptuous treatment, with a full floral title page, headers in red, and sharp unobtrusive typography. Original half red morocco with elaborate giltwork to spine by the Roycroft bindery. Fine. Protected by pubisher's dropback box, which shows some shelfwear. Item #31289
