Hamburg: Gesellschaft der Bibliophilen, 1927. A keepsake for the bibliophilic society of Hamburg, designed and edited by Czeschka to display within floral borders Hamlet's famed monologue. Though the borders and typeface evince a Pre-Raphaelite style, with a clear lean towards the Weiner Werkstatte, the volume's patterned paper covers show a sleight of modernism, of the abstraction flourishing in Europe in the interwar period.
Octavo. (5)ff. Mild edge rubbing, else a fine and altogether scarce copy. Item #31505
