Brooklyn, NY: Merganthaler Linotype Co., 1931. Quarto. (18)pp. One of 400 copies, printed by George W. Jones of London. Granjon's deviced printed in orange as frontispiece. Headpiece and seven-line initial preface the text, which summarizes Granjon's career. The book concludes with four pages displaying the range of the typeface Linotype Granjon. Bound in quarter vellum with gilt rules and gilt spine title, and with covers of marbled paper. Mild rubbing to exterior, else near fine. Housed in slipcase, fairly worn. A previous owner has annotated the type face appendix to indicate differences between point sizes in England and in the United States; a laid-in letter from "WT" to "Rowley" indicates the same.
