Two poems, arranged into couplets below each series of images, considers the struggles of following a spiritual path. The seriousness of Kuch's verses is put into question by the jests of his imagery. In one direction, the reader finds fifteen images of fat figures in joyful motion, a gesture toward the arbitrariness of considering anything "gluttony." In the other direction, an in a similar move toward dispelling the fog of spiritual mystery, fourteen angels squat scatologically. A humorous book asking sincere questions about religious and moral assumptions. Bound in green cloth over boards, with separate title etchings for each series. Mint.
