Item #32064 Crucifix, Chalice and Host (2nd State).
(Prints)

Crucifix, Chalice and Host (2nd State).

Gill, Eric (illus.)

Ditchling: 1915. Print on tissue. An image of a crucified Christ, here with arms at forty-five degrees to the hortizontal beam of the cross, "INRI" appearing in mirror on the halo, and blood from the spear-wound pouring directly into a chalice. Likely a proof impression, due to the variation in the depth of the black and evidence of the edges of the block around the chalice, below the Dominican cross, and by the feet of the figure. Small pinholes, some with rust residue, along left edge, but image unobstructed. Near fine. Item #32064
