The chapters mark episodes in the young life of the titular Johnny, as he learns moral values and proper interpersonal relationships. The half-title ascribes the title to the series "Maple Grove Stories for Little Readers." Bound in purple cloth over boards, blind stamped and with gilt embellishment on spine. Some toning to exterior, light foxing to outermost edge of text block, else near fine. Item #32095
