(Environmental Justice)

Seattle.

Mt. Carmel, CT: Ives Street Press, 1985. 16mo. (iv), 10, (3)pp. One of 110 copies. Prefaced by R. Buckminster Fuller is Chief Seattle's 1851 plea for the United States government to respect the lands of Indigenous tribes (which it subsequently did not, in the slightest, do). Fuller's preface underscores Seattle's emphatic point on the sacredness of the land, and the duty of any given settled population to care for it. The text of the speech, as it is printed here, had been submitted by Dr. Glenn T. Olds in 1979 at Alaska's Future Frontiers Conference. Text in black and green, printed on Okawara papers by Barbara Cash, who also bound the volume in quarter cloth with plain paper covers. With original glassine. Fine. Prospectus laid in. Item #32184

Price: $150.00
