(56)pp. From an edition of 125 copies, this is one of twenty-five on Rives Lightweight, although not designated as such at the colophon. Signed by the editor at her Introduction, and by the director of the Press, Jim Trissel, at the colophon. Printed in black with ochre titles, the compilation exhibits student work representative of Stone's many years of creative instruction at Colorado College. Exception has been made, it seems, for Michael McClure, whose "the poem emerges" lends its title to the edition. Bound in green morocco over boards with onlaid wood veneer panel, and gilt spine titling. Odd moment of staining to Iris Victoria Hinds' contribution, else fine. Housed in folding chemise.
