The classic children's tale is told partially in prose, partially in verse, and is prefaced by "Pianoforte Music for 'Red Riding Hood'." Proctor acted as contributing illustrator (credited as designer) for other Golden Toy Book titles, but among the ones listed in OCLC the present one is unrecorded. Bound in yellow wrappers printed with blue titling and advertisements, titling illuminated. Professional repair apparent to spine, else near fine, showing only vague soiling and minor edgewear.
